Our condo is located in Telluride, Colorado, in the beautiful Southwest San Juan range of the Rocky Mountains. In addition to the superb skiing and snowboarding which make the Rockies famous, Telluride is endowed with the unique combination of a spectacular, pristine mountain setting as well as a friendly small-town community that offers world class shopping and dining.
When most people think of the Colorado Rockies, they think of snow sports - skiing, snowboarding and snowmobiling - and the crisp, clear skies of winter in the west. There is always plenty of deep natural snow, but the weather is often milder than on the east coast, making outdoor activities much more enjoyable. Towards the end of the ski season, you might see people skiing in t-shirts or bikinis!
Summer in the Colorado Rockies is spectacularly beautiful as well. In addition to a wide variety of outdoor activities and world class festivals, spending summer in the area is a great way to simply relax and enjoy the peace and quiet of the wilderness.
The Village of Telluride is a very special place. This town is a real community of civic-minded individuals who take their roles as citizens seriously. From the celebrated free box, where neighbors leave and receive items anonymously, to the commitment to green technology, to the "broomball" tournament at the local ice skating rink, Telluride is a progressive, friendly town that welcomes everyone.
The Riverside condominium complex is located in downtown Telluride, on the San Miguel river. It is adjacent to the Town Park and the Beaver Pond, and it is less than two blocks east of the gondola station and chair lift number 8.
The River Trail runs right in front of the complex, and the trailhead for the Bear Creek Trail begins just above the Riverside parking lot. Both trails are available for hiking and mountain biking in the summer. In the winter, you can ski along the River Trail to the gondola station. The Bear Creek Trail is popular year-round for hikers, dog walkers, off-trail skiers and snowboarders.
The complex provides designated parking for guests. There are two outdoor hot tubs available for apres-ski relaxation and superb stargazing! Our condominium is unit D-01, on the ground level near the western end of Riverside, with a panoramic view of the town of Telluride the picturesque mountains beyond.
